Akim Kaufman and DestinyKey Research

Founder and lead astropsychologist of the DestinyKey platform · Jerusalem

DestinyKey is not a single-author platform. Behind it stands an open research group in the fields of astropsychology and computational astrology, developing a multilingual encyclopedia of astrological knowledge. On this page, we tell you about the people, tools, and methodology behind what you are reading here.

The DestinyKey Research Group

The platform was conceived in 2025 in Jerusalem as a response to the existing astrological landscape: superficial chart calculators in search results, entertainment horoscopes that replace serious work, and deeper professional tools locked inside expensive desktop software. The goal is to bring together what is usually scattered: professional calculations, the psychological depth of interpretation, and open multilingual access. Around this task, a team has formed that works in four interconnected directions:

Astropsychological Research

The methodological core of the entire platform. Here, the techniques by which natal charts are read are defined, along with the principles for constructing interpretations of countries, cities, historical events, and companies, as well as editorial standards — what we do and what we do not do when working with astrological text. The foundation of the framework is the founder's thirty years of clinical practice and the multilayered tradition of psychological astrology (Liz Greene, Howard Sasportas, Bruno and Louise Huber) synthesized with the Hellenistic and traditional heritage (William Lilly, Ibn Ezra, Mash'allah).

Computational Astrology

All calculations on the platform are performed using the Swiss Ephemeris — the standard of accuracy used by professional astrologers and scientific groups worldwide. This division is responsible for the chart engine, the database of verified charts (natal charts of 296 historical figures and contemporary personalities, 213 events, 196 countries, 750 cities), as well as the engineering infrastructure: backend, forecast processing queues, and multilingual page rendering.

Multilingual Editing and Translations

The platform supports 18 languages with expansion to 19 (Hebrew is being added). This division is responsible for translation pipelines, dictionaries of astrological terms in each language, cultural adaptation of texts, and verification of correctness in complex languages (Arabic, Hebrew, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai). Content goes through several stages of verification — machine translation, terminology verification, and editorial review in key languages.

Open Data and Source Integration

This division works with verified open sources: Astro-Databank (Rodden ratings for birth time accuracy), Nicholas Campion's "Book of World Horoscopes" (founding dates of countries), USGS (precise times of major historical events), and public sources of company registration dates. The principle is — no "approximate" data without explicitly indicating its status.

About Akim Kaufman

The founder and lead astropsychologist of the platform is Akim Kaufman. He has practiced astrology for more than thirty years. His training lies at the intersection of three fields: psychology, philosophy, and astrology. The intellectual background includes three decades of studying perennial philosophical traditions — that long line of thought that runs from Hermes Trismegistus through the Neoplatonists, through the Hermetic Renaissance, through the depth psychology of the twentieth century. This tradition is the basis of how the natal chart is read in the project: as a structural map of psychological architecture, not as a script of events.

Several principles, formed over thirty years of practice and defining the platform's editorial line:

A chart is a structure, not a destiny. It describes what is built in — temperament, patterns, recurring themes. It does not describe what will happen. The same chart can produce a clinical psychologist or a stage performer — depending on which parts of the structure receive development.

Difficult charts are not unfortunate charts. A chart with tense aspects often turns out to be a chart of unusual depth. Friction is the engine.

Timing matters less than people fear. Transits show when themes are activated, but the obsession with finding the "right moment" often masks an unwillingness to act. Most of the windows we wait for are already open.

A natal chart is a floor, not a ceiling. Astrological harmonization works — but within the limits of the chart's structure, not against it. You strengthen what is in the chart.

Principles of Work

We do not predict death. We do not make medical or legal diagnoses. We do not give trading signals or specific investment recommendations. We do not predict the behavior of third parties based solely on their charts. We do not make predictions about stock prices or the commercial fate of companies — astrological analyses of corporate charts are published as educational material about archetypal themes, not as financial advice.

We work astropsychologically. The chart is read as a diagnostic tool for understanding patterns: what to expect from your own reactions under stress, where natural authority lies, what usually drains and what restores. Interpretation is structural and reflective.

Process Transparency

Part of the encyclopedia's mass content (thematic analyses of planets in signs and houses, pages of cities and regions, sections on companies and events) is created with the help of generative language models operating according to our strictly defined methodological templates. These templates fix the tone, depth, prohibited formulations, and the mandatory factual basis in verified astronomical data.

All natal charts on which such texts are built are calculated via the Swiss Ephemeris from verified dates and times. Time categories (exact / approximate / date only) are explicitly indicated. Financial-astrological pages (corporate charts) are accompanied by a disclaimer about the educational nature of the material.

The founder's authored texts — methodology articles, essays, analyses of landmark historical events — are marked with the author's name. Machine-assisted content undergoes editorial review before publication. This section has been added to the author page in the spirit of Google's recommendations on AI-assisted content transparency.

Why This Project — Right Now

By 2025, the sky offered a configuration that could not be ignored: a partile bisextile of the three outer planets — Uranus in Gemini, Neptune in the very first degree of Aries, Pluto in Aquarius — forming a stable harmonious triangle through the fire and air signs of the zodiac.

This is a configuration of exceptional rarity. We verified it computationally against seventeen thousand years of astrological history — from 12,000 BCE (the deepest reliable boundary of the Swiss Ephemeris) to 5000 CE, with precision down to an arcsecond. Across this entire span, there exists only one structural predecessor in which a partile bisextile of the three outer planets had its apex within five degrees of the vernal equinox point. That predecessor falls in 2259 BCE, in the era of the apogee of the Akkadian Empire under Naram-Sin — the first ruler to proclaim himself "king of the four quarters of the world." The signs were the same — Aries, Gemini, Aquarius — but the apex was then held by Uranus in Aries, and the triangle itself was five times less tight (an orb of 0.61° versus our 0.11° at the peak moment).

That same triangle descended upon the same point of the zodiac only once in all observable time — more than four thousand years ago, at the moment of the founding of large-scale civilization as such. And in that distant analogue, the apex was carried by Uranus — the planet of breaking old forms. Now the apex passes to Neptune — the planet of consciousness, the dissolution of obsolete forms, and the perception of unity behind surface multiplicity.

Due to the synchronized slow motion of the three planets, the triangle holds in the sky from 2025 until approximately 2029–2031. The single tightest peak falls on July 18, 2026, with an orb of 0.11°. Five years of sustained harmonic resonance from the outer planetary architecture is in itself an event of planetary scale. And astrology as a discipline, whose very subject is this structural cosmic patterning, receives a direct charge from it: an invitation to come into new forms accessible to a broad audience.

DestinyKey Research is an attempt to respond to this invitation with concrete work: an open encyclopedia, professional calculations, and multilingual access.

Collaboration and Contacts

The group is open to academic collaboration — with astrologers, psychology researchers, philosophers, and historians of science. If you have verified astrological data, methodological criticism, translation or editing in one of the languages we plan to support, or an academic project in which our platform could be useful — write to us.
