CHARACTER OF THE CITY
- Chone is a city-actor, constantly changing masks. The Sun, Mercury, and Mars stand in one stellium in Leo, giving the city an incredible thirst for being in the spotlight. This is a place that adores drama, theatricality, and ostentatious luxury. However, Mercury here is retrograde — this is not a straightforward, but a cunning, devious Leo that knows how to rewrite history and adjust reality to its own image. The city may appear to be something it is not. Paradoxically, this is combined with a strong influence of Virgo (Venus in Virgo), which forces the city to be pedantic, hardworking, and obsessed with details. Chone is a perfectionist who wants to be praised for every little thing, but at the same time, it is ready to use any, even the dirtiest, methods to achieve the perfect picture.
- This is a dreamer city that constantly steps on the same rake. The Moon in Pisces in a precise square with Neptune in Gemini (orb 0.1°) is an aspect of total self-deception and illusions. Chone is prone to collective psychoses, belief in utopias, and wishful thinking. The city can plunge into escapism: from religious fanaticism to mass drug addiction or dependence on virtual reality. At the same time, Neptune in Gemini makes these illusions extremely contagious and rapidly spreading — rumors and fakes here spread like wildfire. The T-square involving the Moon, Neptune, and Venus in Virgo creates a situation where romantic ideals shatter against harsh bureaucratic reality. The city is constantly torn between the desire to build a paradise on earth and the need to engage in boring, routine work.
- Chone is a place where everything rests on a promise and fragile alliances. Saturn in Taurus in a trine to Venus in Virgo gives the city phenomenal survivability and the ability to accumulate resources. This is a conservative city that slowly but surely builds its wealth. However, Jupiter in Capricorn retrograde is a crisis of authority. Traditional institutions of power here either do not work or work intermittently. All development projects that seem promising tend to slow down, freeze, or fail due to bureaucratic sabotage. The city does not trust its leaders, but at the same time fears change. The "Palm" configuration involving Saturn, Jupiter, and Pluto (orbs 1.0° and 1.5°) indicates that Chone periodically experiences harsh structural reorganizations, when old elites are forcibly replaced by new ones, but in the end, everything returns to square one.
- This is a phoenix city that rises from the ashes, but gets burned every time. Pluto in Libra in aspect with Mars, Neptune, and Uranus creates a powerful bisextile and many tense-harmonious triangles. This means that Chone has enormous potential for transformation. The city knows how to destroy itself to the ground and rebuild anew. This is especially noticeable in the sphere of justice and international relations (Pluto in Libra). Loud trials, corruption exposés, and the fight for justice, which often turns into new injustice, are loved here. The Black Moon in Aquarius (4.9°) in conjunction with the White Moon (24.7°) is the struggle of the angel and demon within the city. It can be both a center of humanism and innovation, and a hotbed of totalitarian ideas disguised as freedom.
ROLE IN THE COUNTRY AND THE WORLD
- Chone is perceived as a "cultural parasite" or "world resort." Thanks to Venus in Virgo and Saturn in Taurus, the city is famous for its quality of services and ability to please. This is a place people come to "improve their health" or "take a break from civilization." But the Moon in Pisces square Neptune gives the city a reputation as a place where it's easy to lose your head and your wallet. From the outside, it seems that Chone lives off tourists and external investments, but in reality, it skillfully manipulates images, selling thin air.
- The city's unique mission is to be a bridge between reality and fiction. Mercury in Leo in a trine to Uranus in Sagittarius (orb 0.2°) makes Chone a global center of alternative information. The craziest conspiracy theories are born here, but the best laboratories for creating movie special effects are also located here. The city seems to say: "Don't believe your eyes." It specializes in simulating reality: from Hollywood sets to virtual worlds.
- Sister cities: Los Angeles (acting and illusion), Berlin (Pluto's bisextile — constant rebuilding), Bangkok (Moon in Pisces — hedonism and escapism). Rival: any city that tries to be "real." Chone hates sincerity because it destroys its business of illusions.
ECONOMY AND RESOURCES
- Chone's main asset is the ability to sell thin air. The stellium in Leo (Sun, Mercury, Mars) gives the city a talent for show business, advertising, PR, and the entertainment industry. Venus in Virgo makes local goods and services pedantically high-quality, but expensive. The economy is based on the "export of impressions": tourism, cinema, fashion, design. Saturn in Taurus guarantees that there will always be work for artisans — builders, jewelers, cooks.
- Weak point — financial transparency. Jupiter in Capricorn retrograde means constant problems with taxes, loans, and investments. The city thrives on a shadow economy, money laundering, and corruption. Neptune in Gemini square the Moon means real estate fraud and "bubbles" in the market. Chone can suddenly go bankrupt by investing all its money in another "project of the century" that turns out to be a mirage.
- Growth point — high-tech and biotechnologies. Uranus in Sagittarius in a trine to Mercury and in a bisextile with Pluto gives the city a chance to become a leader in genetic engineering, cybernetics, and artificial intelligence production. Pluto in Libra pushes for the creation of "fair" technologies, but in reality, this could turn into total surveillance (Black Moon in Aquarius).
️ INTERNAL CONTRADICTIONS
- Conflict between "creators" and "accountants." The T-square between the Moon in Pisces, Neptune in Gemini, and Venus in Virgo splits the city into two camps: the bohemian crowd that wants to live for the day, and the conservative workaholics who believe that art should turn a profit. This is an eternal war between artists who want to create for free and businessmen who want to make money off them.
- War of generations. Uranus in Sagittarius (revolutionaries) vs. Saturn in Taurus (conservatives). Young people demand freedom and change, the older generation clings to stability and tradition. The Palm involving Saturn and Pluto indicates that the conflict will only be resolved through violence — strikes, riots, coups.
- Racial or religious discord. Pluto in Libra square the Black Moon in Aquarius and opposite Ketu in Aries is a deep trauma associated with injustice. The city may be divided along ethnic or religious lines. At the same time, everyone is formally equal, but there is an unspoken rigid hierarchy. The "Yod" (Finger of Fate) involving the Moon, Chiron, and Pluto indicates that healing this conflict is possible only through acknowledging shared pain, but the city finds it easier to pretend the problem does not exist.
CULTURE AND IDENTITY
- The spirit of the city is "controlled chaos." On one hand, sterile cleanliness and order (Venus in Virgo, Saturn in Taurus); on the other, crazy festivals and carnivals (Moon in Pisces, Mars in Leo). Chone is proud of its ability to combine the incompatible: here you can simultaneously see a Buddhist temple and a porn studio, and it would surprise no one.
- The main source of pride is "freedom of expression." The stellium in Leo makes the city a center of LGBT culture, avant-garde art, and provocative performances. Locals consider themselves the most tolerant and progressive, but this often borders on hypocrisy (Venus square Neptune).
- What is kept silent about: the shadow side of this freedom. The Black Moon in Aquarius in conjunction with the White Moon — secrets related to total surveillance, human experiments, and organ trafficking. The city may be a world center for plastic surgery, but at the same time hide mortality statistics. Also kept silent about are psychological illnesses — the Moon square Neptune makes Chone a place with high levels of depression and suicide, which are carefully disguised as accidents.
FATE AND DESTINY
Chone exists to teach humanity to distinguish reality from illusion. Its destiny is to be a global mirror in which the world sees its boldest dreams and its dirtiest secrets. The city is doomed to constantly destroy itself to the ground (Pluto in Libra) and rebuild anew, each time becoming an ever more perfect copy of itself. Its contribution is the evolution of consciousness through shock and beauty. Chone will not provide answers, but it will force the right questions to be asked. It is an eternal theater where every resident is both actor and spectator, and victim of their own performance.
