CHARACTER OF THE CITY
- A city-builder that eternally lays the foundation but rarely finishes the roof.
The foundation of this city is a powerful stellium in Taurus consisting of the Sun, Mercury (in retrograde), Mars, and Pluto. Taurus is the sign of the material world, the "mortar" of civilization. Here, everything begins with the earth, with roots, with a stubborn desire to create something tangible. The Sun in Taurus gives the city incredible resilience: Reconquista, like a phoenix, rose again after floods and economic crises. However, Mercury retrograde in Taurus is the curse of "eternal renovation." Communications here are tied to matter: people talk about money, resources, harvests, but they cannot agree on a development strategy. Mars in Taurus is a slow but incredibly stubborn anger. The city does not explode in riots; it "simmers" for years. Pluto in Taurus is that very force that forces the city to plow its economy down to the ground every 30-40 years. Outwardly, it is a quiet, economic center, but inside it, a volcano of transformations boils.

A powerful T-square hangs in the chart between Jupiter in Cancer, Saturn in Capricorn, and Neptune in Aries. This is not just an aspect—it is the "Bermuda Triangle" for the city's fate. Jupiter in Cancer is a giant appetite for growth, expansion, "feeding" the city (Cancer is agriculture, river, port). Saturn in Capricorn is a rigid, almost Soviet discipline, bureaucracy, and the "steamroller" of reality. Jupiter and Uranus in Cancer form a conjunction with the Black Moon (Lilith). Cancer is the sign of home, family, protection, nation. Jupiter in Cancer is generosity, hospitality, a "common pot." Reconquista suffers from "veteran syndrome": it constantly chews over its history (founding, floods, wars) but cannot learn lessons. The White Moon (Selena) in Virgo (aspect with IC, but we do not use houses) gives the city a chance for healing through purity, hygiene, order. But Selena in Virgo is an "eternally washed but empty plate." The city tries to be sterile, but its past (Saturn) constantly soils the present.

Venus in Aries is impulsive investments: the city falls in love with ideas (Neptune in Aries) and throws itself headlong into them. Chiron is the wound of "unrecognized talent." Reconquista gives birth to bright, talented people (athletes, musicians, politicians), but they either leave or break against local bureaucracy (Saturn). The square of Venus and Saturn is a "dry law" on love: it is difficult to create harmonious unions here, business partnerships fall apart, and the city's aesthetics are a mix of beauty (Paraná, architecture) and ugliness (abandoned construction sites, dirt).

- Perception: In Argentina, Reconquista is considered a "provincial bear" that sleeps on its money and wakes up only when pushed. For Buenos Aires, it is a "grain base" —a place where soy and corn grow, but not ideas. For the world, it is a dot on the map, known perhaps only as a river port and the place where a nuclear apocalypse almost happened once (the accident at the Atucha nuclear power plant in the 80s).
- Unique mission: A city with Jupiter in Cancer and a stellium in Taurus is the "stomach of the country." It digests raw materials (soy, cotton, timber) and sends them to the world. Its mission is to be a bridge between the Argentine "hinterland" (Cancer) and the global market (Taurus-Plutonian control of resources). But due to the Jupiter-Saturn opposition, this mission constantly fails: the city either feeds the whole country or starves itself.
- Sister/rival cities: Rival — Rosario. Both cities stand on the Paraná River, both are port cities. But Rosario is the "evil genius" of Reconquista: Rosario has Jupiter in Aquarius (innovation, futures), while Reconquista has it in Cancer (conservatism, "charity begins at home"). Reconquista envies Rosario but despises it for its "metropolitan snobbery." Sister city — Oviedo (Spain) . The Jupiter-Saturn-Neptune T-square is a "credit trap" : Reconquista takes out loans for grandiose projects (Jupiter), but the infrastructure (Saturn) cannot handle it, and everything collapses (Neptune). The former own the land and dictate the rules, the latter have money and connections. This is not a hidden struggle: the city still has "clubs for the elite" (Saturn) and "market squares" (Jupiter) where fates are decided.
- Conflict of "river vs. land." Uranus in Cancer (water, river) and Pluto in Taurus (earth) is "dockworkers vs. farmers." The port (Uranus) wants modernization, quick money, globalization. The farmers (Pluto) want stability, subsidies, and protection from imports. The city is torn between these two groups.
- Religious schism. Neptune in Aries and the Black Moon in Cancer is "militant Catholicism" vs. "folk cults." Both the official church (Neptune) and syncretic beliefs (Umbanda, Santeria) are strong in Reconquista. This creates hidden tension: the city is officially pious, but in reality, it is full of magic and superstition.
CULTURE AND IDENTITY
- Spirit of the city: It is a "gaucho with a credit card." Outwardly—a cowboy, simple culture (Sun in Taurus, Mars in Taurus). People here value brute strength, a direct gaze, "a man's word." But inside—a complex, almost decadent sensitivity (Venus in Aries with Chiron, Neptune in Aries). The city adores folklore (chamamé, samba) and sports (boxing, football), but its intelligentsia consists of nervous, vulnerable people who write gloomy poems about the sunset on the Paraná.
- What it is proud of: Its history. The name "Reconquista" (reconquest) is a brand. The city is proud to be an "outpost of civilization" in the Chaco swamps. The Paraná River is an object of worship. Its width, power, its floods—these are part of the identity.
- What it is silent about: Its failures. The Saturn-Jupiter-Neptune T-square forces the city to repress the memory of catastrophes. For example, the 1983 flood, when the city was 80% submerged, or the closure of factories in the 90s. The official history is an epic of victories; the real one is a series of "near successes." It is also silent about corruption (Lilith in Cancer). The city's elite are clans that have been dividing the budget for decades.
FATE AND DESTINY
Reconquista exists as a "generator of raw materials and paradoxes." Its fate is to be an eternal testing ground for the Argentine dream: attempts to build prosperity on land and river, shattered by bureaucracy, pride, and illusions. The city will not become a metropolis—its Taurus stellium is too inert. But it will remain the "black box" of Argentina: a place where resources, traditions, and unlearned lessons are stored. Its contribution is a lesson that heroism (Neptune in Aries) without discipline (Saturn) turns into farce. Reconquista is a warning for all cities that believe the past can simply be "reconquered" and forgotten.
