The DestinyKey method: how we research every degree

For us, a degree is not an abstract symbol from an old book, but a living point of the zodiac that can be tested by observation. The DestinyKey method combines two layers: the symbolic tradition and our own empirical database.

The first layer is classical — the symbolic degree descriptions accumulated by astrological tradition. The second is something no one else has: the unique DestinyKey database, compiled and verified by hand by Akim Kaufman. It contains the birth charts of public figures, the founding dates of cities and countries, key world events, and the incorporation dates of companies.

For each of the 360 degrees we look at who and what was “born” with an emphasis on that point: which personalities, which events, which brands. When the same degree coincides again and again with similar stories, it is no longer a coincidence but a pattern. These stable repetitions form the basis of our descriptions.

That is why DestinyKey texts do not retell the Sabian symbols: they show how a degree manifests in the real world — in characters, in the destinies of cities, in the history of companies. The database keeps growing and the descriptions are refined. This is a living research project, not a frozen reference book.

How to use it: find the degrees of your planets, Ascendant and MC in your birth chart and read their passports — the chart then comes together as a coherent story about you.
