Birth time refinement: determine your Ascendant and correct time by life events
Specify the time range you believe contains your birth time
Enter significant life events with exact dates. The more events — the more precise the rectification.
Planet positions for each event are computed at 12:00 UTC on that calendar date — standard practice when you do not enter an exact clock time.
We check transits of slow planets (+ Chiron) to chart angles (ASC, MC, DSC, IC) on your event dates (same 12:00 UTC convention).
Rectification allows you to refine your birth time when it's unknown or uncertain. This is one of the most important steps in professional astrology, because even a few minutes' difference can change houses, chart axes, and the interpretation of life events.
On the rectification page you can select a probable birth time range, compare physical and psychological characteristics, then refine the result through life events. This approach helps you get closer to your real Ascendant and obtain a more accurate natal chart for further analysis.
Birth time determines the houses, Ascendant and MC positions — which means the themes of relationships, money, career, family, and personal fulfillment. The more accurate the chart, the more precise interpretations, forecasts, transits, solar returns, and synastry become.
You can refine the clock time using dated milestones — marriage, childbirth, career change, relocation, loss, illness, education, major purchases, and similar. DestinyKey compares slow transits plus solar-arc symbolism (including angles and luminaries) against your natal geometry for each calendar date you provide. Events without a remembered time of day still work: computations use midday UTC on each date so every user is assessed the same way.
The more independent, well-dated events you enter, and the narrower your Ascendant time window from step one, the sharper the discrimination between candidate birth minutes. Astropsychological questionnaire answers about appearance and temperament add soft evidence beside the numerical scoring. Results should always be cross-checked with vital records / family memory before you treat a rectified minute as authoritative.
We're preparing an advanced rectification service with deeper life event analysis, Ascendant refinement, and professional recommendations for using your corrected chart.
