Behenian stars

15 stars of medieval magic

The canon of 15 Behenian stars originates from Arab tradition, and was brought to Europe by Cornelius Agrippa in his treatise "On Occult Philosophy" (1531, Book II, Chapter 31). Agrippa assigned each star a mineral, plant, and geometric seal — talismans made at the moment of a star's culmination were considered most powerful.
