The 6th Degree of Pisces (5°00′–5°59′)

THE 6TH DEGREE OF PISCES: FORMULA

The 6th Degree of Pisces is built from the number 6 (root: care, harmony, duty — responsibility for the close circle) expressed through the mutable water sign Pisces, whose traditional ruler is Jupiter. The Egyptian term ruler is Venus (grace, art, relationship), the Chaldean decan ruler is Saturn (structure, limitation, time), and the monomoiria ruler is the Moon (emotion, memory, instinct) per Paulus Alexandrinus (4th century). This degree occupies the coordinates 5°00′–5°59′ Pisces.

THE NUMBER OF THE DEGREE

Six stands on the shoulders of service. Root 6 in DestinyKey's system points to care, harmony, and duty — the gravitational pull toward responsibility for one's immediate circle. Unlike the expansive five or the analytical seven, six is the number of the net: it catches what matters and holds it close. At 6° Pisces, this duty is not cold obligation but a watery, emotional loyalty. The number insists that freedom must be balanced with dedication, that the dreamer (Pisces) must also be the caretaker. When six operates through Pisces, the result is a protective instinct that can extend far beyond blood ties — sometimes to strangers, ideas, or even entire nations. The number’s shadow is martyrdom, but its light is the quiet heroism of showing up again and again.

SIGN COLOURING

Pisces is the ocean where boundaries dissolve. Ruled by Jupiter (traditionally), this sign inherits a sense of boundless compassion, spiritual seeking, and a tendency to merge with whatever is around — be it a person, a cause, or a mood. At the 6th degree, the oceanic Pisces nature meets the structuring force of the number 6: the dreamer is asked to take a concrete role. This is not the Pisces of floaty detachment but the Pisces of the hospital ward, the soup kitchen, the midnight phone call. The colouring here is compassion with a deadline, intuition with a schedule. Jupiter’s influence adds an element of luck and magnanimity, but the degree’s inner tension (Saturn in the decan) ensures that this luck must be earned through discipline. The Moon as monomoiria ruler further deepens the emotional receptivity — these are people and events that feel first and think second, sometimes to their advantage, sometimes to their peril.

THREE SUB-RULERS

**Egyptian term: Venus.** Within 5°–6° Pisces, the term ruler is Venus. This adds refinement, a love of beauty, and a talent for harmonising conflict. Venus here softens Pisces’ raw sensitivity into artistry and diplomacy. The degree’s best expressions involve creating safe spaces through aesthetic or relational means.

**Chaldean decan: Saturn.** The first decan of Pisces (0°–10°) is ruled by Saturn. This is a sobering influence on the sign of dreams: it demands that visions become tangible, that boundaries be respected, that time be accounted for. Saturn in this decan can feel like a weight, but it also gives the endurance to carry a cause to completion.

**Monomoiria: Moon.** Per Paulus Alexandrinus, the single-degree lordship here belongs to the Moon. The Moon governs the body, the home, the past, and the instinct to nurture. At 6° Pisces, the Moon’s presence means that responsibilities are felt viscerally — not just thought but sensed. Memory and emotion drive the duty of number 6.

NEIGHBOURS IN THE DEGREE

The following chart points fall within 5°00′–5°59′ Pisces, offering real-world anchors for this degree’s signature.

**People:**

- Барак Обама (Chiron 5°19′)

- Стив Джобс (Sun 5°45′)

- Флойд Мейвезер (Sun 5°59′)

- Бенджамин Франклин (Moon 5°27′)

- Фрэнк Синатра (Moon 5°07′)

- Томас Эдисон (Venus 5°41′)

Notable: the Sun at 5°45′ of Steve Jobs and 5°59′ of Floyd Mayweather places these figures’ core identity and vitality in this degree. Jobs (restless innovation blended with visionary perfectionism) and Mayweather (disciplined mastery and defensive responsibility) reflect the Venus-Saturn-Moon weave. The Moons of Franklin and Sinatra show emotional roots in service (Franklin’s civic projects, Sinatra’s philanthropy and loyalty to friends). Chiron of Obama (5°19′) positions a wound-healing mission in the territory of collective care.

**Events:**

- Первый полёт в космос (Gagarin) (Chiron 5°08′)

- Основание Красного Креста (Chiron 5°51′)

- Стрельба в школе Sandy Hook (Chiron 5°25′)

- Запуск Восток-1 Гагарин (точно) (Chiron 5°07′)

- Высадка в заливе Свиней (Chiron 5°22′)

- Начало войны в Украине 2022 (Sun 5°28′)

Chiron appears with striking frequency: space milestones, humanitarian foundations, and traumatic violence all touch this degree. The Chiron theme suggests that the 6th degree of Pisces is a point where collective pain and healing collide — the responsibility to protect (Red Cross) and the violation of that protection (Sandy Hook, Bay of Pigs, Ukraine war). The Sun at 5°28′ for the Ukraine war start highlights a crisis of sovereignty and duty.

**Companies:**

- Prada SpA (Chiron 5°22′)

- Yandex NV (Chiron 5°22′)

- Glencore plc (Chiron 5°17′)

- Banco Santander (Sun 5°25′)

- Ferrari NV (Moon 5°03′)

- Mobileye Global (Moon 5°47′)

Chiron here again marks companies in fashion (Prada), digital infrastructure (Yandex), and commodities (Glencore) — all sectors that manage flows (data, materials, style). Sun in Santander (banking — duty of capital) and Moon in Ferrari (emotional connection to speed and legacy) and Mobileye (vision technology) complete the picture.

**Cities:**

- Нитерой (Chiron 5°12′)

- Санта-Фе (Chiron 5°11′)

- Торунь (Chiron 5°05′)

- Эргене (Chiron 5°13′)

- Капаклы (Chiron 5°13′)

- Баня-Лука (Sun 5°56′)

Niterói (near Rio), Santa Fe (capital of New Mexico), Toruń (Polish medieval city), Ergene and Kapaklı (Turkish industrial towns), and Banja Luka (Bosnian city) — each carrying Chiron or Sun in this degree. Many are places of cultural crossroads or reconstruction.

SYNTHESIS

The 6th Degree of Pisces is a workshop for applied compassion. The number 6 demands duty; Pisces supplies empathy; Venus term adds grace; Saturn decan provides endurance; Moon monomoiria deepens instinct. This degree rarely stays neutral — its neighbours reveal a pattern of wounding and mending on both personal and global scales. The people born with planets here often become caretakers, innovators, or public figures whose responsibility is felt as a physical pressure. The events marked by this degree (first space flight, founding of the Red Cross, school shootings, wars) show the light and shadow of collective protection: the urge to save and the tragedy of failure. Companies and cities in this degree manage essential flows — luxury (Prada), information (Yandex), resources (Glencore), money (Santander), motion (Ferrari), vision (Mobileye) — while cities like Niterói and Santa Fe sit at the intersection of nature and history. The challenge of this degree is to hold the tension between Saturn’s walls and the Moon’s tides: duty without drowning, care without losing self.
