The Sun in Aries gives the city a pioneer spirit, stubbornness, and a desire to smash through walls headfirst. But the opposition of Neptune creates the illusion that these walls are made of water. The city seems to live in a state of permanent struggle: it tries to build, plan, and move forward, while reality (earthquakes, tsunamis, typhoons) repeatedly washes away its efforts. This is not just "bad luck" — it is a fundamental conflict. The residents of Ichinoseki are accustomed to the fact that tomorrow may never come, and therefore they are obsessed with the present moment, acting impulsively, without looking back at the consequences. The city's history is a series of recoveries from disasters, where each time one has to start from scratch.
2. A victim city that does not know how to ask for help. The square of the Moon in Capricorn to the Sun and Neptune paints a portrait of a city that suffers in silence. The Moon in Capricorn is emotional stinginess, a tradition of enduring with "gritted teeth." Residents do not complain, do not stage mass protests, and do not seek sympathy. They are fundamentally different from the emotional Tokyoites. In Ichinoseki, it is customary to solve problems within the family, within the community, without airing dirty laundry. But this "heroic stoicism" has a dark side: the city is chronically underfunded, its problems are hushed up, and the country's authorities often forget about it because it does not cry out for itself. The T-square (Sun-Moon-Neptune) creates a vicious circle: the city suffers from external forces (Neptune), but its internal culture (Moon) forbids it from asking for help, and its ego (Sun) does not allow it to admit weakness. The city earns from logging, woodworking, agriculture (rice, vegetables), and traditional crafts. Its strength is product quality. The spirit of Ichinoseki is "proud solitude." The city's culture is steeped in the aesthetics of mono no aware (the bittersweet pathos of things) and gambaru (perseverance).
