Secondary progressions are one of the most subtle predictive techniques in astrology. Unlike transits, which describe the backdrop of specific days, and directions, which mark outer events, progressions reveal the inner psychological cycle: what's currently ripening inside you, what emotional climate you'll be living through over the next 1–3 years, what changes you're inwardly ready for.
The progressed Moon is the master timer of your inner life. It spends about 2.5 years in each sign, and each period has its own emotional flavour — from the need for safety to the hunger for freedom, from the pull toward intimacy to the desire for solitude. Knowing where your progressed Moon is now reveals what truly matters to you emotionally and why your feelings differ so much from three years ago.
Transits describe what happens to you "from the outside". Progressions describe what's happening "inside". They don't predict specific events, but they precisely describe the deep state on which those events occur. This is why the same transit can feel radically different depending on the progressed phase you're in.
The progressed Sun moves about 1° per year and changes house roughly every 30 years. That transition is one of the most significant long-term events in destiny: what matters most to you, the centre of your life-strategy, slowly relocates.
We're preparing an extended astropsychological analysis of progressions: a detailed reading of the progressed Moon by sign and house, of progressive aspects, and of what they mean for the specific life-stage you're in.
